2016 - 2017
For the second year of the programme Chisenhale Gallery is working with two artists, Korallia Stergides and Raheela Suleman.
Korallia Stergides is a graduate of BA Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins. She has recently completed a residency at The Watermill Foundation, Summer Program 2016, New York and took part in the Next Choreography Festival, Siobhan Davies Studios, London.
Raheela Suleman is a filmmaker and writer from London. She is studying for a degree in Film Studies at Queen Mary University. Her first short film Alien, 2015 was screened at Tate Britain as part of Eye Want Change and at gal-dem Winter Film Festival, 2016. Inspired by the video games of her childhood, Suleman has produced a short film 'Exist Without Anyone Knowing' (2017). See the film here.
STOP PLAY RECORD is a three-year programme (2015 -18) for creative young people aged between 16 - 24 years who are interested in making experimental short films. Selected from an annual open call, filmmakers will work with a range of professionals working with moving image to conceive and produce short films between 90 seconds and 3 minutes long.
STOP PLAY RECORD forms part of a joint initiative between Arts Council England and Channel 4, which sees the Institute of Contemporary Arts lead a London Network in partnership with Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Chisenhale Gallery, DAZED, Kingston University and SPACE.
