The Chisenhale Gallery Victoria Park Residency is a nine-month research and development residency for Chisenhale Gallery’s Offsite programme, led by Chisenhale Gallery and in partnership with Tower Hamlets Parks and Open Spaces Department. The Chisenhale Gallery Victoria Park Residency is an opportunity for an artist to use Victoria Park as a site for creative research, engage with local residents and develop new thoughts and ideas.
Previous projects realised through the Chisenhale Gallery Victoria Park Residency include Cathy Haynes’ Stereochron Island (2013-14) a research project about time, Cara Tolmie’s three-hour outdoor performance entitled Otiumfold (2012-13) and Matthew Noel-Tod’s Bang! (2011-12), a film screening for dogs.
Writer Travis Elborough was the Chisenhale Gallery Victoria Park Residency artist for 2014-15. Click here to find out more.
