Thank you to everyone who joined us for Jumana Manna in conversation with Negar Azimi, Senior Editor of Bidoun magazine. Thank you also to HIX for helping us host a great Frieze Week Brunch. Photos by Manuela Barczewski.
We would also like to thank everyone who visited the Allied Editions stand at Frieze London and who supported Chisenhale Gallery through buying our editions.
Please join us next week on Thursday 29 October at 7pm for Ethnography, Authenticity and Song, an evening of archival film and documentary shorts presented by Nick Denes, co-director of the Palestine Film Foundation, in response to Jumana Manna’s new work. For more information and to reserve a place please click here.
We are happy to announce a new digital commission by Ahmet Öğüt as part of his exhibition Happy Together: Collaborators Collaborating. Transforming Chisenhale Gallery into a TV studio in April 2015, Öğüt staged a public discussion with people of various professions and nationalities with whom he has previously collaborated. The film documents the discussion and is now available to view here.
We are also excited to present Patrick Staff's new book
The Foundation published by Mousse Publishing. The book documents and is titled after Staff's work shown and co-commissioned by Chisenhale Gallery, London; Spike Island, Bristol; Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane; and Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver. The publication was launched at Frieze London by writer Isla Leaver Yap and Katie Guggenheim, Chisenhale Gallery's Exhibitions and Events Curator. For more information and to purchase the book please click here.
