Thank you to everyone who joined us for the symposium marking the opening of Maria Eichhorn’s exhibition, 5 weeks, 25 days, 175 hours. Maria Eichhorn’s exhibition, 5 weeks, 25 days, 175 hours, continues until 29 May. At Eichhorn’s request the gallery’s staff have withdrawn their labour for the remaining five weeks of the exhibition. None of Chisenhale’s employees are working during this period and the gallery and office are closed, implementing free time in the place of work.

Eichhorn’s commission is part of the third and final year of How to work together, a shared programme of contemporary art research and commissioning by Chisenhale Gallery, The Showroom and Studio Voltaire. There are concurrent exhibitions by Sharon Hayes at Studio Voltaire (14 April – 12 June) and Koki Tanaka at The Showroom (28 April – 18 June). Chisenhale Gallery’s office will re-open on Tuesday 31 May and the gallery will open with a new commission by Yuri Pattison (7 July – 28 August 2016). Please join us for the opening on Wednesday 6 July, 6.30-8.30pm. For more information about the exhibition, please click here
