Thank you to everyone who joined us last Wednesday for the screening of the documentary We Live In Public (Ondi Timoner, 2009), selected and introduced by Yuri Pattison. The film was presented in association with MUBI, a curated online cinema of cult, classic and independent film. Pattison’s exhibition user, space continues until the 28 August. Join us on Tuesday 23 August at 7pm for a new commission by London-based artists Milo van der Maaden and Imran Perretta, presented as part of our 21st Century programme. A theatrical script and musical score, devised by van der Maaden and Perretta in collaboration with local LGBTQ community members, will be performed at the Bandstand in Victoria Park. The work reflects upon the phenomenon of pinkwashing and xenophobia. This event is produced in partnership with Tower Hamlets Parks and Open Spaces Department.
