Thank you to everyone who joined us for The swell, the third Episode of Alex Baczynski-Jenkins’ exhibition, The tremble, the symptom, the swell and the hole together, which is open until 12 March, Friday-Sunday, 2-6pm. Join us this Thursday 23 February at 7pm for a screening of The Red Shoes (Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, 1948), selected by Alex Baczynski-Jenkins and presented in association with MUBI. The Red Shoes tells the story of a young ballet dancer’s quest to become a prima ballerina. MUBI is a curated online cinema presenting cult, classic and independent film. In conjunction with Baczynski-Jenkins’ exhibition, The tremble, the symptom, the swell and the hole together, MUBI are offering Chisenhale Gallery audiences a free months subscription. On Saturday 4 March, 12-3pm join us for a half-day workshop in music video production led by video production company Chocolate Films, organised as part of our Stop Play Record programme. Through this practical workshop, participants learn to plan, shoot and edit their own music videos. This workshop is free to attend but places are limited. We would like to congratulate Chisenhale Gallery programme alumni Jordan Wolfson for his current exhibition, Part 2: Truth / Love at Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, which opened last weekend.
