Thank you to everyone who joined us on Wednesday for a screening and discussion with Luke Willis Thompson and the Mile End Community Project, an organisation working with young people on film, art and media projects in East London. This event was part of Stop Play Record, a three-year programme for young people aged 16-24 years who are interested in experimental film. Photos are from the event, by Sam Nightingale.

The last of Luke Willis Thompson’s exhibition events takes place this Thursday 17 August, 7pm, when Tavia Nyong’o, Professor of African American Studies, American Studies and Theatre Studies at Yale University, joins Luke Willis Thompson to discuss autoportrait. This event is now fully booked. Places may come available on the evening but entry cannot be guaranteed.

Media coverage of Thompson’s exhibition to date includes articles in Art Review, Guardian, Evening Standard, Dazed, Noted NZ and Contemporary HUM. To listen to Luke Willis Thompson discuss his new commission, autoportrait, with Polly Staple, Director of Chisenhale Gallery, please click here.
