Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for a conversation between Ciarán Finlayson, writer and member of the political education collective Hic Rosa, and Marina Vishmidt, Lecturer in Culture Industry at Goldsmiths, University of London. Images are from the event.
Hannah Black’s exhibition events have been devised in collaboration with the artist, and include a series of conversations in which participants have been invited to discuss a situation of their choice. Please join us on Saturday 18 November, 4pm, for a conversation between members of the Focus E15 Campaign, an organisation founded in 2013 to campaign for social housing in London. This event is free to attend but booking is recommended. To reserve a place please visit our Eventbrite page here.
To accompany her exhibition, a reading list of texts, books and articles has been compiled in collaboration with Hannah Black. This resource expands on ideas raised through Black’s new commission. Included is previous writing by Black, such as her publications Dark Pool Party (DOMINICA/Arcadia Missa, 2016) and Life, with Juliana Huxtable, (mumok, 2017); essays and books that provide reference and further context to the work; and a selection of writings by contributors to The Situation (2017).
