Thanks to everyone who came to our 21st Century event with James Bridle and Lauren Houlton last week. The event coincided with the publication of the latest issue of Universe Magazine, titled 'Techno-Animism', which formed the basis of their discussion. A recording of James and Lauren's conversation is also available to listen to online, here.
This week we're in the final stages of preparing for the staging of a new play by Edward Thomasson, commissioned as part of his Chisenhale Gallery CREATE Residency. Developed with, and performed by, a group of non-professional actors from East London, Between You And Me looks at how stories are told, modified and retold in order to process the events we experience around us. Join us on Saturday 6 July at 3:30pm and 5:30pm for performances at The Glasshouse Community Centre in the Parkview Estate on Old Ford Road. Free to attend, book now by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chisenhale Gallery is participating in First Thursdays this week, staying open until 9pm on Thursday 4th July. Join us for an evening tour of Mariana Castillo Deball's current exhibition at 7pm, led by Vanessa Boni, Public Programmes Curator, Liverpool Biennial.
