Anja Kirschner & David Panos Limited Edition Print

Anja Kirschner and David Panos collaborate on narrative film installations that combine historical material and contemporary issues. Produced to accompany The Last Days of Jack Sheppard – their new film commission at Chisenhale Gallery based on the inferred prison encounters between 18th century criminal Jack Sheppard and Daniel Defoe, the ghostwriter of Sheppard’s ‘autobiography’ – their limited edition print brings together various elements of the film to create a dreamlike portrait of the film’s protagonists.
Anja Kirschner (born 1977, Munich) and David Panos (born 1971, Athens) both live and work in London. Recent solo presentations include:  Ultimate Substance, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), Berlin (2013); Lights, Tears and Real Abstractions: A survey of work by Anja Kirschner and David Panos, Artists Space, New York; Living truthfully under imaginary circumstances, Transmission Gallery, Glasgow; The Empty Plan, Kunsthall Oslo, Oslo (all in 2012); The Last Days of Jack Sheppard, Chisenhale Gallery, London (2009).
