Enemies of Good Art with Bidisha
Friday 11 February

Friday 11 February 2011
In his 1938 novel Enemies of Promise, Cyril Connolly asserted that 'there is no more sombre enemy of good art than the pram in the hall'. Since April 2009, Enemies of Good Art has debated the issues arising from this infamous quote. For their discussion at Chisenhale, the writer and critic Bidisha chaired a debate about 'confidence' and how artists can lose and regain the ability to make work around the birth of their children.
