Ming Lin responds to Ghislaine Leung’s new commission
Tuesday 19 February

Writer and researcher Ming Lin presents Contents conflated with its means of circulation, an advertorial and live distribution act for CATALOGUE, a publication and experimental infrastructure by collaborative research outfit Display Distribute. Presented in response to ideas of distribution and circulation in Ghislaine Leung’s new commission CONSTITUTION.

Display Distribute is a thematic enquiry, exhibition space and occasional shop based out of Kowloon, Hong Kong, and the Pearl River Delta, one of the most densely urbanised regions in the world. Display Distribute undertakes collaborative research projects with recent enquiries into systems of circulation carried out by artist and researcher Elaine W. Ho and writer and researcher Ming Lin.

STOP is a feature-length chronicle distilled from 2,500 100-ft camera rolls of 16mm film shot between 1995 and 2011. The film operates around the conventions of home movies: the images are of Preiss’ own life and the alternating subjects of family, friends and travel. Presented in collaboration by Chisenhale Gallery and Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.
