Thank you to everyone who visited Ima-Abasi Okon's exhibition, Infinite Slippage: nonRepugnant Insolvencies T!-a!-r!-r!-y!-i!-n!-g! as Hand Claps of M’s Hard’Loved’Flesh [I’M irreducibly-undone because] —Quantum Leanage-Complex-Dub, which ended on Sunday. The gallery is currently closed as we prepare for our forthcoming exhibition by Sidsel Meineche Hansen which opens on Thursday 19 September, 6.30-8.30pm. Chisenhale Gallery’s office is open Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm.
There are still two weeks to apply to join ChisenhaleHz, Chisenhale Gallery’s programme for young people aged 16 – 20 years. The group meet twice a month, on Wednesday evenings, 5.30 – 7.30pm, throughout September 2019 – March 2020. For further information on the programme and how to apply, please click here. Chisenhale alumni with recently opened and forthcoming exhibitions include: Peter Wächtler whose solo exhibition Ad Astra opened at Kunsthalle Zürich last Friday and runs until 17 November, 2019; Ahmet Öğüt whose solo presentation THE MISSING T opens at Merdiven Art Space this Thursday and runs until 5 October, 2019 as part of the parallel programme taking place alongside the 16th Istanbul Biennial; and forthcoming Chisenhale programme participant Imran Perretta is performing at Wysing Art Centre's annual music festival, Wysing Polyphonic this Saturday 7 September, 2019, as AMRA, Imran's audio-visual collaboration with artist Paul Purgas.
