Thank you to everyone who visited Mandy El-Sayegh's exhibition, Cite Your Sources, which ended on Sunday. The gallery is currently closed as we prepare for our forthcoming exhibition by Ima-Abasi Okon, which opens on Thursday 27 June, 6.30-8.30pm. Chisenhale Gallery’s office is open Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Merging the Layers last Thursday, an event organised by ChisenhaleHz, a collective of young people who meet regularly at Chisenhale Gallery. ChisenhaleHz use ideas and themes raised through the gallery’s Commissions Programme to devise a series of public events. Last week's event included a performative reading and screenings of works by Hito Steyerl, Soda_Jerk and Mahdi Fleifel. Images are from the event by Sam Nightingale.

Facilitated by Bergen Assembly 2019 core group member Banu Cennetoğlu, The List traces information relating to the deaths of 36,570 people who have lost their lives within or on the borders of Europe since 1993 due to state policies (documented as of 1 April 2019). Since 2007, in collaboration with art workers and institutions, Cennetoğlu has facilitated updated versions of The List using public spaces such as billboards, transport networks, and newspapers.
