Ima-Abasi Okon’s exhibition continues throughout the summer. Forthcoming events include fixing-to-use, a seminar in response to Ima's exhibition led by curator and writer Taylor Le Melle. Le Melle will review concepts that have been put forward by one particular system of English grammar, 'fixing-to-use' elements that can structure an English sentence or phrase. Chisenhale alumni with current or forthcoming events include; Maeve Brennan who’s film Listening in the Dark is at Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, Turku, Finland from 30 August; Lori E. Allen and Rachel Pimm who will present DARK MATTER: Alchemical, an evening of new video and sound performance at Science Gallery London this Wednesday, 7 August; Corin Sworn whose new work, Habits of Assembly is at Edinburgh College of Art until August 26th as part of Edinburgh Art Festival and Rasheed Araeen whose new restaurant Shamiyaana opened in Stoke Newington last week.
