Aleksandra Mir: Organized Movement
Thursday 18 February – 12am
Aleksandra Mir introduces a rare screening of her film Organized Movement (2004).

A 45-min documentary, produced during a residential workshop with Perros Negros, Mexico City in May 2004, Organized Movement is described by Aleksandra Mir as "a video diary, depicting my attempts to connect with local people and Mexican customs through the body language of dance. As the story unfolds, the monologue touches on everything from globalization, alienation, class struggle, revolution and food to classical ballet, sex, crime and rock 'n' roll."

The event will start at 7pm and is followed by a Q&A.

Aleksandra Mir was born in 1967 in Lubin, Poland, is a citizen of Sweden and USA and lives in Palermo, Sicily.
