Treister will talk about her most recent project, Post-Surveillance Art (2014), and revisit HEXEN 2.0 (2009-2011), a major project charting the increase in intelligence gathering in the Web 2.0 era and the US government and military’s role in the development of the Internet.

Suzanne Treister (born 1958, London) currently lives and works in London. She was a pioneer of digital and web-based art in the early 1990s, developing fictional worlds and international collaborative organisations. Recent solo exhibitions and events include Supper for Snowden, Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Vienna, Austria (2014); In The Name of Art and Other Works, Annely Juda Fine Art, London, UK (2013); HEXEN 2.0, Cleveland Institute of Art, USA; P.P.O.W, New York, USA (both 2013); D21 Kunstraum, Leipzig, Germany; Hartware Medien Kunstverein, Dortmund, Germany; Science Museum, London, UK; and The Real Truth.
