Watch, Read, Listen collects together the gallery's growing archive of audio and video documentation of talks and events alongside contextual material produced in association with each commission.
As part of the commissioning process, a programme of discursive events is devised in collaboration with each artist and runs throughout the duration of their exhibition, including talks at the gallery and offsite events at local schools. The archive features recordings of talks and events staged as part of the Engagement Programme and includes conversations between exhibiting artists and invited speakers; guided exhibition tours, as well as presentations, discussions, and workshops.
The archive also contains contextual material produced by Chisenhale Gallery for each exhibition, including interviews with exhibiting artists and reading lists of books, articles and films all expanding on ideas within the artists’ work.
Here visitors can access Chisenhale Interviews, Reading Lists and audio and video recordings of events, all free to download.
The archive also contains Online Commissions, works produced by Chisenhale Gallery artists and conceived as digital projects for Chisenhale Gallery’s website, produced alongside presentations of artist commissions in the gallery space.
